Investment
Transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and a limited number of sessions each week so that every client receives the same unhurried attention.
What every collection includes
Regardless of which collection you choose, the foundation is identical: a pre-session consultation, a personal wardrobe and colour guide, on-location direction throughout, professional colour grading on every delivered image, and a private high-resolution gallery ready to download within three to five business days.
Heirloom products
Digital files are wonderful, but they live on hard drives. The studio partners with a fine-art lab in Virginia to produce linen-bound albums, museum-mounted framed prints, and folio boxes on archival cotton rag paper. Framed prints begin at $320; twelve-by-twelve albums begin at $650.
Signature and Heirloom clients are invited to a viewing appointment at the studio, where we look at your images together on a calibrated screen and design your pieces. There is no obligation to purchase anything beyond your collection.
Booking & policies
A thirty percent retainer and a signed agreement reserve your date. The balance is due on the day of your session. Retainers are transferable once to any available date within twelve months.
Weather is the one thing nobody controls. If the forecast turns, you will hear from me the evening before and we will move to the next available date at no cost. Overcast skies, for what it is worth, produce exceptionally beautiful light.

Autumn and cherry blossom dates are typically reserved eight to twelve weeks ahead, and weekends sell out first. For all other seasons, three to four weeks is usually comfortable. If your date is close, please still write — cancellations do occur.
Every client receives a personal wardrobe guide with a colour palette chosen for the location and season. Signature and Heirloom clients also have access to the studio's gown collection for maternity and portrait sessions.
We simply move the session. You will receive a text the evening before if the forecast turns, and we will reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost. Soft overcast light is, in fact, wonderful.
Yes — continuously, and gently. You will be given prompts and small things to do rather than stiff poses to hold. Most clients tell us it felt like an evening walk that happened to be photographed.
Your private, downloadable gallery is delivered within three to five business days. Retouched selections and album designs follow within two weeks of your viewing appointment.
Regularly. Sessions within the Beltway and Northern Virginia are included; anything beyond is quoted individually. Destination sessions in Charleston, New York, Napa and Europe are welcomed each year.
Absolutely, and they should. Extended family and well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra charge — please just mention them when booking so the timeline allows for everyone.
