Autumn and cherry blossom dates are typically reserved eight to twelve weeks ahead, and weekends sell out first. For all other seasons, three to four weeks is usually comfortable. If your date is close, please still write — cancellations do occur.
Every client receives a personal wardrobe guide with a colour palette chosen for the location and season. Signature and Heirloom clients also have access to the studio's gown collection for maternity and portrait sessions.
We simply move the session. You will receive a text the evening before if the forecast turns, and we will reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost. Soft overcast light is, in fact, wonderful.
Yes — continuously, and gently. You will be given prompts and small things to do rather than stiff poses to hold. Most clients tell us it felt like an evening walk that happened to be photographed.
Your private, downloadable gallery is delivered within three to five business days. Retouched selections and album designs follow within two weeks of your viewing appointment.
Regularly. Sessions within the Beltway and Northern Virginia are included; anything beyond is quoted individually. Destination sessions in Charleston, New York, Napa and Europe are welcomed each year.
Absolutely, and they should. Extended family and well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra charge — please just mention them when booking so the timeline allows for everyone.
